A production-ready water quality application that merges trusted data sources by ZIP code, handles incomplete coverage transparently, recommends suitable filtration, and sends personalized reports through Klaviyo.
Water-quality information was distributed across several sources with different geographic coverage, field names, measurement periods, and missing values. The business needed a dependable application that could accept any valid ZIP code, create a useful report, recommend appropriate filtration, and send the result through an existing Klaviyo template.
I developed AquaReport with a ZIP-to-location and water-provider resolution layer connected to multiple trusted water-data sources. The application normalizes hardness, contaminants, testing periods, regulatory limits, and provider information. When ZIP-level data is unavailable, the system applies a documented geographic fallback such as utility, municipality, county, or regional data and clearly labels its source and confidence instead of inventing values. A rules engine recommends filtration options based on available measurements. The final report is displayed in the application and sent through Klaviyo.
